the back room 2008 – 2009

Friday, February 27, 2009, 6:30 pm, in the fifth floor open studios of the University of Oregon Architecture and Allied Arts program at White Stag, 70 NW Couch Street, Portland.

the back room welcomes Brad Cloepfil and Tom Kundig, in conversation with architect Jerry Garcia (the crafting of buildings and career...the endurance of the sketch...hidden energy...the difficult simple).

His recent projects include the Museum of Art and Design, in New York, the Clyfford Still Museum in Denver, Colorado, and the Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, in Dallas, Texas. Jerry Garcia was the cofounder of UND, in Seattle, and is now a senior project manager at Olson, Sundberg, Kundig, Allen. He has worked on the Rolling Huts and the Candela Hotel and Residencies Tower in downtown Seattle.
